Thoughts on summer...
every year, i have these huge expectations of what summer is going to be like, and then every year, i am dissappointed. aside from Destin, i feel like i havent done anything interesting. i just spend most of my days at home. like today for example. i spent the whole day at my house. and it sucks. i mean honestly, you'd think there would be something to do. but nope. everybody i know is busy... and i am at my house watching Transformers for about the eighth time. all alone.
yeah. 0_o its real fun.

Stupidity...
you know, for people who are so smart, they really are stupid. (yes, i know how that sounds, bear with me) i mean, there are people, who are so smart and have super high iqs and test scores and all that, but they have no idea how to be a normal human being. honestly people. why must the general high school population be so idiotic. there are people who treat their friends and significant others like crap, and cause way too much drama than is necessary. i am very tired of it. honestly, i wish i could just skip ahead a year so that i could go to college and leave all this stupidity behind. but no. i have another year of all the drama and the dealing with the idiots.
another thing. why does the majority of the male population in high school talk the way they do. the other day on my bus, one of the guys actually said "i thought you wanted a piece of that" !!!!!!!!!!! GAAHH! and the guys in my study hall are just plain vulgar and demeaning. i hate it. that is so wrong. this shouldnt be how it is. men shouldnt talk about women like that. its totally and completely wrong.... there arent words to describe how awful it is... hmm...
well, all. see ya later.

My thoughts on...
The Chronicles of Narnia:
okay, so i just finished reading all six of the books. and i LOVED them. C.S. Lewis is a brilliant person. so here are some thoughts/ fave quotes--------
Aslan:
okay, so how can i even begin. so, first of all, since i saw the movies first, whenever i read his lines, i always heard the voice of liam neesen in my head. i also love the connections that are made to God. for instance the whole "he's not a tame lion, but he is good." and also what he says to the other three Pevensies when Edmund comes back "whats done is done." I LOVE THAT! thats the gospel! oh, so good!
Lucy:
my fave out of the four Pevensies. she is very wise for her age and very faithful. like in Prince Caspian when everybody else doesnt believe her that she saw Aslan. also, in the Last Battle, she says the coolest thing ever about there once being something in a stable that was bigger than our whole world. !!!!! so good. also, i love that she is Lucy the Valient. it totally fits her.
Edmund:
my second fave. mostly for what he says after Lucy says she saw Aslan in Prince Caspian:"Last time i didnt believe Lucy, i ended up looking pretty stupid" awww... yay for older brothers.
Peter:
such a good leader. and he very kind and so respectable. also i love when he says "its familiar. as if from a dream, or a dream of a dream." i just think its a cool line.
Susan:
poor Susan. she no longer believes in Narnia. or shes no longer a "friend of narnia" which is basically the same thing.... so sad. but in the movies, she is really cool with her bow and arrow. :)
Harry Potter:
okay, so this is definitely my favorite series of all time. there is just so much to talk about...
Harry:
He can be so annoying sometimes, but he is so noble. and of course there is his "saving people thing" lol. but he always means well. and he sacrifices himself. which is so cool.
Hermione:
oh hermione. i love her. also, she is very much the voice of reason. the best thing is that she loves books, just like me :) but also the fact that she loves ron. so much... and she gets mad at him when she dates lavender. and she gets so mad when he comes back in DH. she is so right to be mad at him. oh and then, after all that, she gets tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange. and then she is still so brave during the battle.
Ron:
he is so loyal. and funny. plus, he loves hermione... aww. only then he leaves. but then he saves harry when he comes back, so its all good.
The Battle:
one of my fave moments in the whole series is when harry goes back to the room of requirement after visisting the ravenclaw common room and all the weasleys, lupin, the DA, and so many others are making there way through the portrait hole ready to fight. its just such an awesome moment. also, after Harry dies, and then comes back to life, none of voldemort's spells are holding on the crowd because harry sacrificed himself. and then neville gets his moment of glory that he totally deserves. and then belletrix gets killed by Mrs. Weasley. and then Harry puts up the shield charm between Mrs. Weasley and Voldemort and he wins and after a second of disbelief, everbody rushes towards him. I LOVE IT!!!!
After the Battle:
Harry is surrounded by people, but he only wants the company of a few. so Luna, awesome as always, lets him do that. so the trio roam through Hogwarts as he gives them the whole story. with Ron and Hermione on either side of him. like it should be. the simplicity of those moments after all they went through is so fitting and deserved....
Dear John:
okay, so this book is so good! i just finished it and it definitely made my faves list. its so romantic and really well written. and very heartbreaking. but i love stories like that. every once in a while i love to read a very emotional book. this one is really well written and i think that everybody should read it if you haven't.
okay. so i have just been wanting to get down my thoughts on these books. its not like anybody even reads this. more for my own benefit. but on the off chance that somebody reads it, comments would be great! lol.

love love love love love...
so i was just reading postsecret, and someone's secret was " i see God in the love of my friends", and i just wanted to say that i do too. i think that sometimes its hard to see Him in your life, but for me, its easy to see Him in the lives of my friends and how we all interact. my favorite thing ever is to be sitting and watching people and you can just tell how close they really are. just simply by the way they look at each other or the ease of their being together. and i dont mean in a romantic way at all. just love among friends. it makes me so happy to see this. and now, as i am thinking about it, i can see that i have a few individuals in my life that i have that with. i hope they know who they are...
